 Portrait Commission Information

A portrait can provide a treasured heirloom and a venue for future generations to encounter a true and beautiful interpretation of the subject and I am “hooked” on painting portraits.  It is rejuvenating to transform the personality of a figure in a portrayal of human life (present and past) that encapsulates each individual’s character succinctly.  I particularly enjoy reinventing a time in history and bring it back to life through my sepia vintage portraits.

Do you have family pictures that you would love to be able to share with your family?

Preserve their likeness with an oil portrait (either sepia or colored).  It is easy enough to do!  All I need is a picture of the individual (small children as well as adults), pet, home sites, etc.  All themes work to make beautiful portraits and are a perfect way to let family members enjoy them also. They make excellent special occasion gifts.  Prints can also be purchased and framed for multiple gifts.

Note: Oil Portraits require a few weeks to dry before shipping.  Your will have the opportunity to view the painting for likeness and suggest changes prior to shipping.  Satisfaction is guaranteed.

Framing Information

James Shepard frames Jaceena’s paintings/portraits.  James owned an art and frame shop for many years and is a master at framing.  He is very competitive on his prices and each piece is framed (or matted and framed if a print) with museum archival quality framing materials.   He will e-mail you a picture of the frame that he suggests to be used with your painting prior to accomplishing the job.  Due to possible damage from broken glass, Portraits will either be shipped without glass or with Plexiglas glazing.  Any local glass company can supply you with glass at a reasonable cost.  Hanging materials will be included.

Please call for framing quote and information.  256 627-6305 or 256 810 9240
